I was drawn to electronics in the late 70s. I was always interested in electricity. When I was very young, I would experiment with switches and flashlight bulbs that I powered through my model train transformer. I began to work after school at an electronics repair shop where I learned component-level troubleshooting. I studied the owner's old Air Force electronics course books to learn the basics. I worked over 10 years in electronics repair.
